JOINED BURLINGTON IN 2025
Tom is a fully qualified Independent Mortgage Adviser (CeMAP) who helps clients navigate one of life’s biggest financial decisions with clarity and confidence. He combines technical knowledge with a personable, client first approach.
Following his father into financial services, Tom began in specialist lending, supporting development finance and bridging cases. He later broadened his experience across residential and buy-to-let mortgages in family run firms and national organisations, including Countrywide Mortgage Services.
Tom advises first-time buyers, home movers, property investors and clients with more complex borrowing needs. He places clear communication at the centre of every case and is studying towards the R0 qualifications, with the longer-term aim of becoming a fully qualified Financial Adviser.
Personal profile
Outside work, you’ll usually find me…
Playing football on a Saturday, on the golf course, tennis court or padel court, or planning my next ski trip.
Something people may not know about me…
My father is also an adviser, which gave me an early appreciation of the importance of honest advice and looking after clients properly.
My ideal weekend would be…
Three points on a Saturday with my football team, a date night with my girlfriend, and finishing the weekend with a proper Sunday roast.
Favourite film, book or podcast…
Interstellar.
Best piece of advice I’ve ever received…
I've received a lot of good advice over the years, but something that has always stayed with me was a speech Roger Federer gave at a university. Despite being one of the greatest tennis players of all time, he only won around 54% of the points he played. It was a reminder that setbacks are part of success, and that what's most important is focusing on the next opportunity rather than dwelling on the last one.
What I enjoy most about working with clients…
I enjoy helping people take control of their mortgages and debt, rather than letting it control them. There's also nothing quite like helping someone buy their first home and being part of such an important milestone in their life.
